Senior
Director
Location: Remote (Austin, TX preferred)
Salary: $120K - $140K
About the Role
Point 600 is seeking a Senior Director to help grow the company at the intersection of data analytics and corporate communications. The best people at this level are C-suite advisors who build teams and develop other managers, and experts who keep pushing the firm's analytics and thinking forward.
We're a specialty consulting firm, not a report factory. Our work blends analytics, strategy, and advisory services, and we partner closely with Fortune 500 communications teams to help them make smarter, data-driven decisions. As a Senior Director, you'll lead a portfolio of large accounts, counsel clients, build analytical capabilities, design process, develop our talent, and serve as a lead contributor to the firm's IP.
The role centers on three things: client engagement, people management and development, and analytics execution and improvement. Successful candidates lead in all three at a portfolio level and think like builders of the firm, not just leaders of accounts. This role requires strong leaders who understand how to get impact out of a team, not only deliver exceptional work on their own.
What You’ll Do
-
Build and manage relationships with C-suite clients, serving as a strategic advisor on communications measurement, data, and technology
-
Manage 4+ direct reports, including managers, in a development capacity, growing analysts into managers and leaders, and helping develop the next generation of Point 600 leaders
-
Set the quality bar for deliverables across your portfolio and create end-to-end client presentations with a focus on data storytelling
-
Oversee a portfolio of multiple large accounts and workstreams, leading strong teams of Point 600 experts across them
-
Present high-stakes deliverables to executive audiences and give clear, confident recommendations on the fly
-
Build a culture of strong project management, feedback, and ownership across your teams
-
Drive improvement across our analytics practice, from automation and tooling to methodology, so the work keeps getting smarter and more valuable
-
Help attract and develop talent, partnering with firm leadership on hiring and team growth
-
Lead and troubleshoot data automation, SQL writing, and data visualization when it matters most
-
Serve as a lead contributor to firm IP, frameworks, and ways of thinking across the practice
Desired Skills
-
C-Suite Advisory: You connect communications data to the business outcomes executives care about. You're at ease in the room with a CCO or CMO, and they come back to you for your point of view.
-
Persuasion & Business Development: You know how to make a case and offer counsel, whether it's a regular report or a new bespoke analysis. You have a track record of client satisfaction and trust.
-
Talent Development: You grow people at every level, including those who manage others, and you build teams people want to join and stay on. You recognize that your success as a leader is tied to strong processes and strong talent.
-
Portfolio Leadership: You run several large accounts at once, keep teams focused on the right work, and know where to focus your efforts for impact.
-
Technical Depth: You bring intermediate to advanced expertise in statistics and data visualization, with a solid grasp of data structure, storage and automation, and you can still roll up your sleeves when a problem calls for it. Importantly, you can teach these concepts to others.
-
Practice Innovation: You have a point of view on where communications analytics is headed, and you turn it into frameworks, methods, and process improvements the whole firm can use.
-
Growth Mindset: You hold yourself to a high bar as a leader, seek feedback from clients and your team, and model the continuous improvement you expect from others.
Bonus Skills & Experience
-
Experience developing managers and building high-performing teams
-
Proven record of account leadership in an agency, consulting, or professional services firm
-
Background in corporate communications, PR measurement, or related advisory fields
-
Proficiency across the Point 600 technical stack: Meltwater, Rivery/Boomi, SQL, Tableau, and Google BigQuery
-
Thought leadership in communications measurement or analytics, such as speaking, publishing, or industry association involvement
-
Experience advising enterprise companies
