Director

Location: Remote (Austin, TX preferred)
Salary: $100K - $130K

About the Role

Point 600 is seeking a Director to lead client accounts and a team of high-performing analysts at the intersection of data analytics and corporate communications. The best people at this level are trusted advisors to senior communications leaders, managers who coach their teams and hold them accountable to high standards, and analytics leaders who push for deeper insights. We're a specialty consulting firm, not a report factory. Our work blends analytics, strategy, and advisory services, and we partner closely with Fortune 500 communications teams to help them make smarter, data-driven decisions. As a Director, you'll run large accounts with multiple workstreams, lead and develop the teams that deliver them, and raise the bar on the quality and impact of our analytics.

If you're the person clients call first when a tough question comes up, you get energy from watching your team develop, and you're always looking for a smarter way to do the work, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own relationships with day-to-day client leads and senior client advocates across large accounts

  • Manage 2–4 direct reports in a development capacity, helping associates grow into senior associates through regular feedback, coaching, and stretch assignments

  • Shape end-to-end client deliverables and lead teams to develop them, with a focus on turning data into clear, persuasive narratives, with clear QA protocols

  • Present high-stakes deliverables to senior client stakeholders and give clear, confident recommendations on the fly

  • Lead project teams across multiple workstreams, delegating, reviewing, and revising work in ways that build skills and produce strong, reliable client outcomes

  • Lead and troubleshoot data automation, SQL writing, and data visualization, and get the team unstuck when things go sideways

  • Grow accounts by identifying new opportunities to deliver value and shaping them into well-scoped work

  • Own the accuracy and quality of everything your accounts deliver, and find ways to improve how we work, from automating recurring analysis to sharpening our methods

  • Create and manage account-level project plans across interconnected workstreams, and oversee the team's agendas, recap notes, and project management systems

  • Help shape firm IP, tools, and ways of thinking in key areas of communications measurement

Desired Skills

  • Client Leadership: You're the person clients trust to run their account. You build relationships beyond your day-to-day contacts, manage expectations with confidence, and spot where a client needs help before they ask.

  • Persuasion & Executive Presence: You don't just present findings, you make a recommendation and stand behind it. You're clear and concise in high-stakes rooms and stay composed when a client pushes back.

  • People Development: You make the people around you better. You give direct, useful feedback, delegate in ways that stretch people, and take real pride in watching your team grow into the next level.

  • Technical Depth: You bring intermediate to advanced expertise in statistics and data visualization, with a solid grasp of data storage and automation. When a pipeline breaks or a query goes sideways, you can dig in.

  • Continuous Improvement: You find a better way before anyone asks. When a process is clunky or an analysis could be sharper, you fix it rather than settling for the status quo.

  • Account Ownership: You keep complex, multi-workstream accounts organized and moving, and you hold a high bar for accuracy on everything your team delivers.

  • Growth Mindset: You seek feedback on your own leadership, reflect honestly on what's working, and keep getting sharper as a manager and advisor.

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Track record of managing and developing direct reports

  • Proficiency across the Point 600 technical stack: Meltwater, Rivery, SQL, Tableau, and Google BigQuery

  • Background in corporate communications, PR measurement, or related advisory fields

  • Experience running accounts in an agency, consulting, or professional services environment

  • Demonstrated track record of growing client accounts

  • Experience working with enterprise clients
